Michel Barnier arrives in London for trade talks

Michel Barnier says the European Commission “will remain calm, respectful, determined, and realistic” ahead of talks with the UK about a post-Brexit trade deal.

The EU's chief negotiator arrived in at London’s St Pancras station ahead of informal meetings.

More formal negotiations are due to start on Monday with Michael Gove expected to travel to Brussels.
