Covid-19: Starmer and Johnson on UK death toll figures
The UK Covid death toll was the result of a “huge number of mistakes by the prime minister” the Labour leader has said.
Sir Keir Starmer said it was “offensive” to “pretend there was a protective ring around our care homes” last year.
He said the official death toll of 100,000 announced on Monday was “nothing short of a national tragedy”.
