'Rock and a hard place' on finding child care places
A council is taking childcare back in-house due to the rising costs of using external providers.
Sharon Cooper, Warrington’s head of service for children in care, explained the dilemma of finding care for children that could cost £22,000 a week.
She said that left the authority between "a rock and a hard place" when children needed a place to stay at short notice.
