Michael Gove on levelling up: We had a wake up call

Michael Gove has said members of the public want the government to "change the economic model of the country", in order to address inequalities in society .

The levelling up secretary's comments came as long-promised plans to close the gap between rich and poor parts of the country were unveiled.
