A former Labour leader has told the chancellor to "get on with it" and tax the profits of oil and gas firms to help British people pay their bills.

Ed Miliband predicted a "massive u-turn" was coming, but asked what he was waiting for.

Labour's shadow climate change secretary criticised the chancellor's choice on taxes, calling him "unfair, unjust, out of touch”.
