Starmer says UK needs change of government

Sir Keir Starmer has reacted to the most recent Conservative leadership debate between Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss, saying "we need a fresh start for Britain, we need a change of government".

The Labour leader did not agree with the economic plans set out by the two candidates battling to be the next prime minister, saying "I'm not going to support either of those approaches".
