Liz Truss defends tax cuts and energy costs help in mini-budget
The prime minister has said her government needs to continue to "deliver economic growth, jobs and opportunities".
Liz Truss said people should consider what situation the country would have been in without the actions that have been taken, such as pubs going out of business.
And she said there "plenty of areas" where there was scope for further government efficiencies.
