Ex Johnson aide 'deeply sorry' for BYOB Partygate email

The civil servant who headed Boris Johnson's private office during the pandemic has apologised for sending an email inviting fellow staff to a "Bring Your Own Booze" party in the Downing Street garden during lockdown.

Martin Reynolds told the Covid inquiry he was "deeply sorry for my part in those events".
