Vaughan Gething admits Welsh government wasn't ready for Covid
Former health minister Vaughan Gething has admitted the Welsh government was not fully prepared for Covid.
Mr Gething was giving evidence to the UK Covid inquiry, chaired by Baroness Hallett.
Plans that existed for pandemic flu would have left Wales vulnerable, he said.
Quizzed by barrister Laura Shepherd, he said: “When Covid came we were not as prepared as we could and should have been.”
