'Heat and anger’ gone out of UK-EU relations - Cameron
Lord Cameron said he "purposely" did not speak to European leaders when he stood down as UK prime minister.
He explained this was not to undermine the British negotiations with the EU, and so he could not be seen a "back channel".
The new foreign secretary was addressing peers in his first appearance before the House of Lords European Affairs Committee since he returned to frontline politics.
He said the "heat and anger" has gone from the UK-EU relationship, and it was now "much more functional and I think it is functioning well."
