Badenoch claims media is 'trying to fuel gossip'

The business secretary has described stories about a Tory plot for her to replace Rishi Sunak as a “nonsense story”.

Kemi Badenoch accused the press and broadcasters of “trying to fuel gossip".

Asked about reports of a Tory WhatsApp group, called Evil Plotters, she said that showed the media was "not serious about the issues that this country is facing”.
