Ex-US Treasury Secretary: Brexit an 'isolationist deed'
Leaving the European Union would be an "isolationist deed" and "would do damage To Britain as a gateway to Europe", a former US Treasury Secretary has said.
"It would be a step towards a more closed, more protectionist, less effective and less prosperous global economy", Larry Summers told the Today programme.
"[Leaving the EU] would be perhaps the most isolationist deed in the last century for Britain," he said.
