Loch Ken's crayfish 'could be on the menu'

A community in south west Scotland has come up with a proposal for dealing with an "invasion" of crayfish.

An infestation of American signal crayfish in Loch Ken has undermined its ecology and affected angling tourism in the Galloway area.

Councillor John Thom wants to establish Scotland's first crayfish fishery in the area.
