Wintry weather returns with a vengeance

Thousands of homes have been left without power and some roads have been closed after the wintry weather returned with a vengeance to parts of the country.

Aberdeenshire and Moray have borne the brunt with more than six inches of snow in places.

Householders in Aboyne, Skene and near Elgin were without power.
