Andy Murray's mum Judy speaks of her delight at his win

The US Open champion Andy Murray beat Serbia's Novak Djokovic in a five set match in New York on Monday night.

The victory makes the 25-year-old from Dunblane the first British man since 1936 to win a grand slam singles title.

Judy Murray, Andy's mother, spoke to BBC Scotland's John Beattie. She said: "I am absolutely delighted but who knows what could happen from here.

"He could achieve more in the future".
