Hope of finding a buyer for Vion's Scottish plants

The Scottish Government and unions have said they are hopeful, and prospects are good, for finding buyers after the Dutch food producer Vion announced it will sell its UK business.

Vion, which has announced the closure of Halls meat processing plant in Broxburn, has more than 2,000 staff working at 12 other sites across Scotland.

BBC Scotland's Colin Wight is outside another Vion-owned business in Coupar Angus where about 1,000 people work at a poultry processing plant.
