'Storm of a lifetime' wreaks havoc along Scottish coast

Homes and businesses along the east coast of Scotland are counting the cost of the storm damage caused over the weekend.

In some towns, defences that have stood for over 100 years crumbled in the face of massive waves.

Gale force winds and high tides caused extensive damage to the sea wall in Lossiemouth.

Local people said they had never seen anything like it in their lifetime.

At the height of the storm a man died aboard an oil industry vessel off the coast of Aberdeen.

The Scottish government has said it will look at what can be done to help.
