Crackdown on blue badge misuse proposed

Proposals have been launched for a crackdown on people who misuse blue disabled parking badges.

Dennis Robertson MSP wants officials to be given greater powers to confiscate permits which are not being used properly.

Mr Robertson is himself a blue-badge holder and was elected as Holyrood's first blind MSP in 2011.

He also wants a proper appeals process for those who are refused the badges.
