Warning over 'bedroom tax' evictions

Tenants in social housing with a spare room could be facing a cut in housing benefit.

Around 100,000 people in Scotland of working age could be affected by the under-occupancy penalty, or bedroom tax, when it comes into force in April.

Homeless charities fear it could lead to a huge rise in evictions, if those who are not able to move to smaller homes cannot pay the rent.
