Snow closes schools and disrupts travel

More than 100 schools close in Scotland following Met Office warnings of heavy snow and gale force winds.

A number of HGVs and cars were stuck in snow on the A697, near Greenlaw, for six hours. The road was reopened and was passable with care.

The Met Office has issued further warnings for snow and ice in parts of Scotland.
