Dennis the Menace meets Prince Charles

Prince Charles got a rude reception when he came face to face with Beano character, Dennis the Menace.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, known in Scotland as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, have been immortalised in a special edition of the comic.

On Tuesday, the Royal couple visited the Dundee headquarters of DC Thomson, the Beano's publishers, where they started the printing press for the special edition, and also met some of the comic's most famous characters.

In the comic, to be published on Wednesday, Prince Charles meets "the country's worst-behaved children" to sample lunch at the Bash Street school canteen, while Camilla opens the new library.
