Grangemouth workers give their reaction to job losses
Workers at the Grangemouth complex have been told that its petrochemical plant is to be closed, with the loss of about 800 jobs.
Owner Ineos claimed the decision had been forced by the refusal of workers to accept changed contracts.
The company has yet to say when the neighbouring refinery will be started up again.
One contractor at the site said: "A lot of subbies will lose their jobs now because Ineos will not take a pension cut."
An Ineos employee told BBC News: "Some people are a bit annoyed, most people are just worried as it's nearly Christmas. That's the general consensus."
