Clear-up in Glasgow after city water mains bursts

One of the main routes out of Glasgow has been closed, after a water main burst on Tuesday evening.

Thousands of homes in Shawlands, Pollokshields and Mount Florida were left without water until engineers restored supplies late on Tuesday.

Scottish Water received around 3,000 calls after a burst water main in Bridge Street.

Water supplies were restored at around 23:00 but it could be several days before the road will reopen.
