Scottish independence: Alternative visions of Scotland in 2034

Voters in Scotland will go to the polls in the Scottish independence referendum on 18 September.

The choice between establishing Scotland as an independent country or remaining as part of the UK is the single biggest political event for the country in 300 years.

BBC Scotland's Ian Hamilton has been looking at both possible outcome, Scotland which voted to be independent and an alternative universe where the Union remained intact.
