What impact does air pollution have on our health?

Scientists in Edinburgh have been working on an innovative project to measure how much pollution we are exposed to on a daily basis.

They have been focussing on tiny particles from diesel engines which are linked to heart disease.

BBC Scotland's environment correspondent David Miller gamely volunteered to take part in the research.
