Glasgow School of Art fire: Students watch on as school burns

Students and teachers have been describing the moment a devastating fire broke out at the A-listed Glasgow School of Art.

Eyewitnesses said the blaze started when a projector exploded in the basement of the Charles Rennie Mackintosh building just before 12:30.

Firefighters have been tackling the flames and at least five appliances have been called to the scene.

Many pupils are due to submit final projects in the coming days, but fear their work has been engulfed by the fire.
