Salmond: Supermarkets see Scotland as an opportunity

Alex Salmond believes that the majority of supermarkets will not allow themselves to be put off remaining in Scotland, despite claims from the Better Together campaign.

The first minister, speaking at an event at Edinburgh Airport with Scottish business leaders, said it was his view that large businesses and supermarkets would see an independent Scotland as an opportunity rather than a risk for future investment.

David Cameron will be in Scotland later to give a speech presenting his arguments for voting against independence.
