Loch Lomond camping ban proposed

Lochside camping in one of Scotland's national parks could be severely restricted in the future if stricter bylaws are approved.

Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park has published proposals to extend the east Lomond bylaws, which ban camping for much of the year outside managed sites.

Many lochs in the Trossachs, much of the west side of Loch Lomond and the north-east tip of Loch Long would be affected.

The park says the new regulations are needed to tackle widespread problems with litter, vandalism and antisocial behaviour but access campaigners are concerned.

BBC Scotland's Christopher Sleight reports.
