Strong winds warning for Scotland

Strong winds are expected to cause disruption across the country as the remnants of Hurricane Gonzalo sweep in from the Atlantic.

In Scotland, the west coast is expected to be the worst affected area as winds move towards the east.

A few flights have been affected, ferries have been disrupted and the Skye Bridge is closed to all vehicles due to high winds.

The strongest gust so far has been 64mph recorded on the Forth Road Bridge around 06:00.

Strong winds are forecast to continue through the day.
