Edinburgh aims to host Tour de France 'grand depart'

Edinburgh could be one step nearer to hosting a stage of the Tour de France.

Councillors have approved funding for other cycling events worth £225,000.

The city lost out to Yorkshire which hosted the Tour de France stage earlier this year.
