Huge waves lash Saltcoats train line

Video footage shows huge waves pounding the train line in Saltcoats on the Ayrshire coast.

Flooding also affected parts of Dumfries and Galloway after the River Nith burst its banks.

And snow caused problems for commuters on the A9, some of whom spent 10 hours stuck on the road.
