Missing student's mother says 'We are desperate'

The family of missing student Karen Buckley have made an emotional appeal for her to get in touch.

Karen's parents John and Marian flew in from Cork to make the appeal.

Karen disappeared in the early hours of Sunday morning during a night out with friends in Glasgow's west end.

Det Supt Jim Kerr, of Police Scotland's major investigations team, said they hoped to find Karen safe and well and were particularly keen to trace a grey car seen in the north of Glasgow on Sunday.
