Payment glitch for RBS customers

RBS says it is working to resolve a problem which has led to customers not having credits or direct debits applied to their accounts.

The overnight glitch has affected about 600,000 transactions across RBS, Natwest, Coutts and Ulster Bank.

RBS said anyone affected should contact their call centre or branch, and promised that nobody will be out of pocket as a result.
