Higher Maths: 'A lot harder than I expected'

The new Higher Maths exam was criticised after pupils who sat it took to social media to highlight their concerns that it was too difficult in comparison with past papers.

Officials at the Scottish Qualifications Authority admitted the paper was harder than it should have been and gave assurances that marking would be adapted to take this into account.
