One year since the independence referendum

A year ago, Scotland was in the final phase of the independence referendum campaign. A new poll had suggested a lead for "Yes".

On the day, Scotland said "No" when voters went to the polls in huge numbers on 18th September.

With the anniversary of that vote on Friday, BBC Scotland will be looking at what has happened in the year since then and what might lie ahead.

BBC Scotland political editor Brian Taylor begins that coverage with a boat trip.
