Green energy firm's record £200,000 fine for nuisance calls
A green energy company has been given the largest fine for making nuisance calls.
Home Energy and Lifestyle Management Limited, whose headquarters are in Cambuslang, has been fined £200,000 after a ruling by the Information Commissioner's Office that it deliberately broke marketing call regulations.
The company said it used a reputable third party to provide software for the campaign and said it plans to appeal.
