Two people rescued in Cromarty Firth microlight crash

Two people were rescued after a microlight crashed into the Cromarty Firth near Evanton.

The alarm was raised on Sunday around 14:00 after another aircraft reported seeing the microlight ditch into the water.

Invergordon RNLI lifeboat crew pulled both people from the water before they were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

There were no serious injuries.
