Defence plan's jobs boost for RAF Lossiemouth

Armed forces minister Penny Mordaunt has been visiting RAF Lossiemouth following details in the Strategic Defence and Security Review that a new fleet of maritime patrol aircraft will be based there.

Nine new Boeing P-8 Poseidon aircraft will operate from the Moray airbase alongside the RAF's squadrons of Typhoon and Tornado fast jets.

The deployment is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the base and cements its role within UK defence.

BBC Scotland's Craig Anderson reports from Lossiemouth.
