Author Michel Faber's poem on wife's cancer battle

Dutch-born author Michel Faber has turned his hand to poetry.

The winner of this year's Saltire Book of the Year has said that The Book of Strange New Things was his last novel.

In an exclusive interview with BBC Scotland arts correspondent Pauline McLean, Michel speaks movingly about the death of his wife and his love of Scotland where he has lived since 1993.

"Don't Hesitate To Ask", like much of his recently written poetry, deals with his wife's battle with cancer.

Watch the full interview with Michel on Scotland 2015 on BBC Two Scotland on Thursday, 3 December, at 22:30.
