Borders communities urged to prepare for winter
Winter has officially begun which means the NHS and local councils are gearing up for what is usually the busiest time of the year for them.
One council has been putting lessons learned from the heavy snowfall of 2010 into practice.
Scottish Borders Council says it will encourage communities to be more resilient; should winds, snow or flooding prevent council workers from getting to where they are needed.
