Flooded Ellon residents feel the force of River Ythan

Flooding has continued to cause disruption in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Around 40 people in Ellon were rescued from their homes after the River Ythan burst its banks.

In Inverurie, dozens of people were evacuated from their homes as the River Don breached its banks in the early hours of Friday morning.

Two severe flood warnings are in place in north-east Scotland, external, meaning lives are still in danger.
