New £1.4bn Queensferry Crossing from the air

Queensferry Crossing engineers have said that they hope to have the bridge open to traffic by the end of 2016.

About 1,300 people have been working to finish the new £1.4bn crossing over the Firth of Forth by December.

The crossing was ordered by Scottish government ministers after cable corrosion was spotted on the main suspension of the Forth Road Bridge.
