Scottish Tory leader Ruth Davidson says party won't split over EU

Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson says that current tensions over EU membership will not lead to splits within her party.

Speaking ahead of her party conference in Edinburgh, she said: "We're a grown up party and we know what's important and that's making sure that the government of this country stays on track."

When asked if her party would stay together after June's vote on the EU, Ms Davidson was confident that: "There are people on different sides of this argument, that's entirely why the prime minister has taken the right decision to allow a free vote on this."
