EU Referendum: Ken Macintosh says no rules broken over EU exchanges

The EU referendum has been a key theme during the final first minister's questions before voters go to the polls on 23 June.

Conservative MSP and Leave campaigner Margaret Mitchell raised a point of order to query whether an earlier exchange between Nicola Sturgeon and Kezia Dugdale had broken Holyrood's purdah rules.

Presiding Officer Ken Macintosh told the chamber that he had sought advice over the matter and was satisfied that no rules had been broken.

The SNP leader raised a wry smile in response to the news.
