Poverty 'biggest cause' of child ill health in Scotland

Child health in Scotland ranks amongst the worst in Europe, according to medical experts.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health has said poverty remains the biggest cause and has called for 'bold' action to tackle it.

The Scottish government maintains it is making progress with child health a priority.
