Scotland's Halloween 'not cancelled' during Covid

Halloween is “not cancelled” says Scottish government Social Security Secretary Shirley-Anne Somerville.

The SNP MSP told BBC Debate Night that families should be “doing it differently” during Covid.

She urged parents to explain to children the sacrifice they are making and mark the occasion as one household.

Conservative MSP Oliver Mundell added that vulnerable people “would not welcome” trick-or-treaters at their door.
