Swan rescued after hours on frozen loch
Rescuers have come to the aid of a swan trapped for hours on a frozen Scottish loch.
Crowds gathered as emergency services and animal welfare officers tried to reach the bird, which was dozens of metres offshore at Hogganfield Loch in Glasgow.
The swan was eventually freed on Saturday afternoon by two firefighters and transferred into the care of the Scottish SPCA.
