Nicola Sturgeon makes partnership plea to business

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will tell business leaders that she wants to work with them to make Scotland a fairer and "better country".

Ahead of a speech in Glasgow, she told BBC Radio Scotland's Good Morning Scotland programme: "My central message today is a positive one about the economy and about our business community.

"The success of the business community underpins our prosperity as a society.

"We need a strong growing economy if we are to have a fairer society that I think we all want.

"If we have a fairer society that is also good for the economy. So I am calling on the business community to work in partnership with the government to help us build that better county."
