Quintinshill: 'A terrible day for the regiment'
The Princess Royal and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon are taking part in events to commemorate the UK's worst rail disaster, which happened 100 years ago.
An estimated 226 people died - most of them soldiers of the Royal Scots on their way to the Western Front - when three trains collided at Quintinshill, near Gretna Green.
BBC Scotland's Willie Johnston reports from close to the site of the crash.
