Caerphilly grit station 'has enough salt to last until spring'

Many parts of the UK are bracing themselves for further disruption today from fresh snowfalls -- with ice expected to be a major hazard on the roads.

The AA said it had attended about 14,000 breakdowns on Thursday - a 50% increase on normal call-outs.
